The Perfume: Kologne, Shield of protection, shield of protection revisits a classic for partying. With bright citrus notes, the Kologne, Shield of protection is a touch of freshness. Henri Frapin likes to relax on these springtime Sundays in the garden opposite the property, built in 1702 and located above the production site. He contemplates this region made up of woodland, rivers and pastures where he was born and which is in his blood. He considers the manna provided by this nectar that the family has produced since 1889. His favourite time is when his son joins him at around 11am when the sun’s rays warm up this headland of forest above Segonzac.
Evernia by Ormonde Jayne is a modern take on a classic and is in keeping with our gender-free philosophy. Kilian Hennessy’s Inspiration:
Inspired by the citiy of Paris, KILIAN PARIS introduces its new addition to the Liquors olfactive family: L’Heure Verte, an olfactive soundtrack to nightlife’s liberation to come. L’Heure Verte is named after the traditional French equivalent of ‘Happy Hour’, that early evening window of time when absinthe was served upon sugar into a glass and swirled with a spoon in a slow-paced ritual. The liquid turns pastel green; this hue reappears in L’Heure Verte’s own perfume elixir, an entirely naturally derived color: tender like a Parisian haze, or a Van Gogh painting come to life.
The Perfume:
Absinthe essence opens L’Heure Verte with an instant head twist into a nostalgic heart of violet leaf and licorice root absolute. Its dry-down articulates a unique and precisely chosen facet of patchouli that resonates throughout, and blends into a trio of earthy woods along with vetiver and sandalwood. A first-time collaboration between Founder Kilian Hennessy and French perfumer Mathieu Nardin, L’Heure Verte expresses Paris at its best—indulgent and life-changing in its luxuries and wonderful illusions.
