WITH ITS ELEGANT AND REFINED HEART OF NATURAL VETIVER SUPERBLY BLENDED WITH SUN-DRENCHED CITRUS, RICH SPICES AND PRIZED WOODS, TOM FORD GREY VETIVER CAPTURES THE ESSENCE OF DEBONAIR, CHARISMATIC AND PROVOCATIVE MASCULINITY.
Until the day when God deigns to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom will be in these two words: Wait and hope!
The Count of Monte Cristo, literary masterpiece, sums up in itself the French spirit, where love, ambition, betrayal, and friendship, confront pain, pain and of course revenge… Everyone knows this vengeful epic, but its moral is much less known and partly more enigmatic… Our hero declaring in conclusion: “All human wisdom can be summed up in these two words: Wait and hope”.
Maison Frapin thus pays homage to this incarnation of elegance, strength, intelligence and mystery that is Edmond Dantes. Through a very original walnut and vetiver accord, it olfactorily interprets this expectation marked by Taoism and this Christian hope. The freshness of the vetiver being resolutely turned towards the future while the telluric wisdom, is it, carried by the tutelary figure of the black walnut. A dandy fragrance, imbued with philosophy and mystery.
Henri Frapin likes to relax on these springtime Sundays in the garden opposite the property, built in 1702 and located above the production site. He contemplates this region made up of woodland, rivers and pastures where he was born and which is in his blood. He considers the manna provided by this nectar that the family has produced since 1889. His favourite time is when his son joins him at around 11am when the sun’s rays warm up this headland of forest above Segonzac.
At Frapin, we work and live far from the major cities. Our personal and professional lives follow the circadian rhythm of days and nights, the changing of the seasons, the wind blowing in the trees.
This closeness to nature sustains us more than one might think. We model nature and are modelled by it, surrounded as we are by meadows, vines, rivers and woods.
This proximity is the hallmark of our style, our essence, our elegance. We admire wood, work it, drink it and smell it. This wood is our age-old wisdom. We listen to its lessons and secrets. Its verticality shows us the only way forward, that of ascending. It is at times hot, enveloping, aromatic or deep. It strongly underscores our style; that of Bois Blanc.

FLORAL
Frapin honours Laskarina’s memory with a perfume of character. After all, she is a truly multi-faceted muse: part wife, mother, businesswoman and adventurer. She was unfettered, fearless, and her own woman – all qualities shared by the great heroines of history and the early feminists. More than just a perfume, Laskarina is a tribute to Womankind.
Amelie Bourgeois rose to the challenge of finding the notes for such a strong-willed perfume. She built a floral, spicy jus, gentle yet feisty, reflecting the paradox of Laskarina. You could say it embodies the iron fist in a velvet glove. Starting off on fresh, sweet notes, it ends on unyielding accords of pepper and amber.
Top notes: Italian bergamot, grapefruit, pink peppercorn, pear sorbet
Middle notes: Tunisian orange blossom, Bulgarian rose
Base notes: frankincense, black pepper, iris, Ambroxan Ambrocenide
CITRUS
“Isle of Man” is a resolutely masculine fragrance, a celebration of the fearless and intrepid for those who laugh in the face of death-defying odds. It salutes free spirits and adrenaline addicts who know that truly living means pushing boundaries. You’re never more alive than when life is on the line.
Life should be anything but boring. David Frossard, himself a motorcycle aficionado and lover of extreme sports, entrusted this interpretation to perfumer Aliénor Massenet. Her creation boasts a genuine olfactory signature. The citrusy attack followed by salty floral accords conjures up the heady adrenaline rush of ripping down an ocean-beaten coastline.
Top notes: grapefruit, bitter orange, basil
Middle notes: accord of salt, freesia and violet
Bass notes: ironwood, Haitian vetiver, musk

The Orchid Man is Frapin’s tenth fragrance. It draws part of its inspiration from the surprising personality of boxer Georges Carpentier, nicknamed in America as “the Orchid Man”.
Frapin was instantly drawn to the life of this legend to tell its new fragrant story.
Boxing, like perfume, is about facing yourself. An encounter of rituals and studied gestures. It is also a moment of violence that must be elegant. Governed by precise rules and respect for the opponent, boxing became a gentleman’s sport at the end of the 19th century.
David Frossard, an expert of the boxing world, took all of this into consideration when he launched the idea for a fresh, elegant, powerful and virile perfume.
Jérôme Epinette, whom he met several years earlier, has been entrusted with the interpretation of this world which is both animal and cerebral.
Top notes : black pepper, bergamot.
Middle notes : leather accord, jasmine petals.
Base notes : patchouli, black amber, oak moss.
CITRUS
L’Humaniste opens with a spicy citrus vibrant boom, supported by the aromatic facets of juniper and thyme, highlighting a surprising \\\\\\\’gin\\\\\\\’ accord. A fresh and light fragrance created by Sidonie Lancesseur.
It is to François Rabelais, the most illustrious member of the dynasty, that the house of Frapin has dedicated L’Humaniste, a fragrance as bracing and limpid as the curious, open minds of Renaissance men. Its playful ‘gin’ accord is a wink to Rabelaisian humour and to the oracle of the Divine Bottle consulted by Pantagruel.
AMBER
The first perfume in our collection was conceived as a tribute to the origins of the Frapin family, who settled in the Charente in 1270. This fragrance is a distillation of gourmand pleasures that will turn your skin into a sensuous feast.
Re-orchestrated by Sidonie Lancesseur, its warm-hued palette runs from golden pineapple to candied orange, ambery raisins, purple prunes and russet hazelnuts to the roasted duskiness of cocoa and coffee. Facets of vanilla and smoky guaiac wood evoke an outbreak of vine branches in the fireplace…
LEATHERY
Today tobacco is a more forbidden pleasure than alcohol. It is to this rare olfactive family that Marc-Antoine Corticchiato’s composition belongs.
Refreshed by a mojito accord (rum, mint and lime), this suave blond tobacco is enhanced with the liqueur-like richness of immortelle and the hay/almond facets of liatrix and tonka bean.A smooth oriental leather rubbed with rich amber deepens this tawny palette.
Olfactory pyramid:

It was by crossing India from north to south during a charity race that David Frossard, artistic director of the the House Frapin, found the inspiration for this new fragrance. IF, pays tribute to India with its precious wood, sandalwood from Mysore and the native poet of Bombay, Rudyard Kipling and his famous poem “If”.
I was lucky enough to travel from the north to the south of India during a charity race this year and on passing through Mysore, the verses of “If” came to me. It was my grandfather, a great traveller if ever there was one, who introduced me to this poem when I was a child. This lesson that needs to be repeated every day in order to become what we are”: David Frossard, artistic director of Parfums Frapin.
Olfactory pyramid:
Top: Fresh ginger from Madagascar, pepper from Karnataka, Italian bergamot

A free variation of Eau du Soir which envelops us in the distinctive, almost magical, atmosphere of an oriental palace. The Alcazar reveals itself in a new light, suggesting a fragrance veiled in mystery which exalts a radiant femininity. A composition that is as enigmatic as it is dazzlingly sensual. With sparkling and enchanting top notes, it seduces with its spicy, floral heart leaving a delicately woody warmth in its wake.
A charming and firmly modern floral bouquet. Delina is a highly nuanced fragrance which is both sweet and sensual. The eau de parfum relishes in its floral accords which are dominated by Turkish rose, lily of the valley and peony, blended with the rounded tangy notes of lychee, rhubarb, bergamot and nutmeg. Vanilla accentuates the sensuality of the composition at the base, mingling with white musk, cashmeran, cedarwood and incense.
You have to know it’s there, and have no fear of mazes or crowds. In his tiny shop filled with spices from around the world, a merchant displays his treasures. Between the swirls of incense, he tells the story of each amphora, before unveiling the rarest of them all beneath a velvet cover. He alone knows whether it is gold or amber resin, voluptuous and enveloping. Like a mirage, a journey of the senses: an opulent, voluptuous and textured fragrance.
Mon Guerlain Sparkling Bouquet is a radiant fragrance like a beaming smile, in which the essential lavender-vanilla duo is beautifully enhanced by a sparkling pear note and a luminous Sambac jasmine.
