Uncompromising, bold, filled with enigmatic charm.
Based on master perfumer Maurice Roucel’s personal cologne, Uncut Gem is an unapologetically manly scent, diamond-hard and absolutely fresh. Clear, spicy top notes of ginger, bergamot, mandarin, angelica root and nutmeg lead you to the sensual fire within: a leathery accord, vetiver, frankincense, generous amounts of amber, and a musk that vibrates with the skin. This is a scent that plays with the tired codes of masculinity while extracting their telluric force to create something beautiful and irresistible.
Maurice Roucel started his career as a chemist at Chanel’s Fragrance Laboratory in 1973. A self-taught perfumer who describes himself as “an explorer wandering amidst formulas”, his style is that of a sensuous aesthete and his signature is generous composition, in which he retains only what is essential.
Echoing life’s most vivid and celebrated experiences shaped by moments of tribulation and strength, Silver Oud is an olfactive depiction of Stendhal’s 19th-century French novel, The Red and the Black, and its intelligent and ambitious protagonist, Julien Sorel. Paying tribute to the House’s signature storytelling tradition, Cécile Zarokian brings Silver Oud to life in a woody ambery Eau de Parfum that showcases the most precious Oud in all its glory.
Inspired by the themes expressed in The Red and the Black, particularly the notions of Confusion, Passion and Destruction, Silver Oud is a manifestation of the tension between idealism and realism, the contradiction between thinking and feeling, and the power of mimetic desire.
Opening with Patchouli Molecular Distillation, Cypriol Oil, and Virginia Cedar Oil, confusion lies in the lack of an expected top note. Instead, a wide variety of woods come to the fore, announcing a deep evolution. At the heart of the creation, an exquisitely rich quality Oud Assam Oil dances in unison with a deep Vanilla (Madagascar) Absolute as a beautiful duo of contrasts. Meanwhile, Ambrarome, Birch Oil, Guaiac Wood Oil, and Castoreum leave dark sillage imprints on the skin, the smoky woods blending together in an endless finale
Inspired by the uncertainty, drama and memories evoked by the unsolved ‘ROSEBUD’ mystery. Rose Incense is distinctively floral and unmistakably woody with unique and contemporary elements.
Muscat Eau de Parfum moves with you like a cocooning second skim. Rejecting the usual citrus and floral springboard and instead opting directly for principal notes of Oriental persuasion; sensual sultry and smouldering. Enticing oud notes sweetened with rose, date oil, vanilla and halwa.
In 1270, the famous Frapin family settled in the Charente region of France, but above all, this perfume has become mythical for its sweetness, its honey-like and fruity notes. David Frossard, artistic director of Frapin perfumes, wanted to take another step towards the world of opulence and magnificence. 1270 Extrême plunges us into a world of luxury, roundness and power with its pineapple, vanilla and honey notes, enhanced by precious woods and a superb oriental Tonka Bean, praline and suave to the extreme…

CITRUS FLORAL
Green souls fall in love in the shade of Citrus trees. Your laughter exhales a song of Yuzu zests and my kisses flutter, white, like petals of Neroli – as they rest on your Grapefruit lips. Red. The pulp of my fingers run along your Jasmine neck, I drink the blue seas of your eyes and the smell of your smiles. There is a heat, a whiff of Vanilla, of two bodies entwined in a shape of White Musks. Hypnotic Lotus and dilated pupils, there comes from my fingers like a moan of Geranium, a desire to taste you like a sip of Orange juice. Green. I waft towards you on the wings of your skin-of-clouds. “Words do not lie”. There is no end to me.
This is a blue planet, juicy like an Orange whence Lotus and Orange Blossom spring like seaspray. A haze of White Musks and tropics of Neroli shape a continent of Vanilla deserts.
“The Earth is blue like an Orange”
This is the perfume of Love.
CITRUS
“Isle of Man” is a resolutely masculine fragrance, a celebration of the fearless and intrepid for those who laugh in the face of death-defying odds. It salutes free spirits and adrenaline addicts who know that truly living means pushing boundaries. You’re never more alive than when life is on the line.
Life should be anything but boring. David Frossard, himself a motorcycle aficionado and lover of extreme sports, entrusted this interpretation to perfumer Aliénor Massenet. Her creation boasts a genuine olfactory signature. The citrusy attack followed by salty floral accords conjures up the heady adrenaline rush of ripping down an ocean-beaten coastline.
Top notes: grapefruit, bitter orange, basil
Middle notes: accord of salt, freesia and violet
Bass notes: ironwood, Haitian vetiver, musk
CITRUS
The Orchid Man is Frapin’s tenth fragrance. It draws part of its inspiration from the surprising personality of boxer Georges Carpentier, nicknamed in America as “the Orchid Man”.
Frapin was instantly drawn to the life of this legend to tell its new fragrant story.
Boxing, like perfume, is about facing yourself. An encounter of rituals and studied gestures. It is also a moment of violence that must be elegant. Governed by precise rules and respect for the opponent, boxing became a gentleman’s sport at the end of the 19th century.
David Frossard, an expert of the boxing world, took all of this into consideration when he launched the idea for a fresh, elegant, powerful and virile perfume.
Jérôme Epinette, whom he met several years earlier, has been entrusted with the interpretation of this world which is both animal and cerebral.
Top notes : black pepper, bergamot.
Middle notes : leather accord, jasmine petals.
Base notes : patchouli, black amber, oak moss.
The ideal man is a myth. His fragrance, a reality.
The Ideal Man is a myth. But thanks to Guerlain, his fragrance is a reality with L’Homme Idéal Intense.
The ideal Eau de Parfum Intense?
Fiery spices, bewitching tonka bean and smoky notes for an utterly intriguing trail. A vigorous, elegant, woody-spicy-oriental fragrance.
The ideal bottle?
Masculine, luxurious and distinguished. A square, faceted bottle fully coated in black lacquer. The label borrows its dynamic energy from yellow. A heavy, decidedly masculine cap that is also matt and borrows its guilloché detailing from the world of watchmaking.
