The moon plays a leading role in conducting the rhythm of life in the Middle East, her ethereal appearance hailing the beginning and end of all festivity. Yet in Arabic, invoking the moon is also an allusion to romance — ‘my moon’; an adoringly grandiose term for one’s beloved that speaks of beauty and eternal devotion.
Exuding a warm, opulent quality, rose, oud and frankincense meet a surprising abundance of ripe red berries. In subtle evocation of the fruit-flavored shisha enjoyed across the region, the profusion of redcurrant and raspberry notes adds sweetness and color.A potent new moon.
VICI LEATHER is the latest perfume release from luxury niche fragrance house Electimuss London. Inspired by the victory cry of Julius Caesar, Vici Leather is the scent of success exuding luxury and an easy confidence.
At the heart of this fragrance are two powerful notes of seduction, one feminine, one masculine, combined perfectly to create a very unisex scent that is elegant and charismatic. A robust tuberose is entwined with an addictive sweet leather to create a heart of masculine and feminine sensuality.
Vici Leather is made even more intoxicating by the wormwood which has the woozy quality of Absinthe and an ambery base that is both powerful and relaxed. It is a confident fragrance with effortless elegance exuding success and sensuality.
PERFUMER’S NOTES
“VICI LEATHER is the ultimate smell of seduction. It starts off with a wormwood, evoking the wooziness of the Absinth. But rapidly it combines two of the most sensual ingredients of perfumers’ palette. One expressing a more masculine attribute showing a manly but gentle charisma: sweet leather. The other one is more known for being a feminine attribute of seduction: Tuberose. As a fun fact, young women during the Renaissance were forbidden from the Tuberose fields, as it was said the captivating smell of tuberose might make it impossible for them to control their desire. Those two powerful ingredients combine perfectly in a very unisex, powerful, elegant, laid back charisma, ambery base.“ Julien Rasquinet
Uncompromising, bold, filled with enigmatic charm.
Based on master perfumer Maurice Roucel’s personal cologne, Uncut Gem is an unapologetically manly scent, diamond-hard and absolutely fresh. Clear, spicy top notes of ginger, bergamot, mandarin, angelica root and nutmeg lead you to the sensual fire within: a leathery accord, vetiver, frankincense, generous amounts of amber, and a musk that vibrates with the skin. This is a scent that plays with the tired codes of masculinity while extracting their telluric force to create something beautiful and irresistible.
Maurice Roucel started his career as a chemist at Chanel’s Fragrance Laboratory in 1973. A self-taught perfumer who describes himself as “an explorer wandering amidst formulas”, his style is that of a sensuous aesthete and his signature is generous composition, in which he retains only what is essential.

The perfumes of Maison MARC-ANTOINE BARROIS are the result of the meeting of two young creators. One is a designer, the other is a perfumer and it was childhood memories that brought them together. Those bewitching perfumes of character; the leather of an elegant briefcase or an impeccable desk pad; and the woody and vegetal scents in reference to memories of warm homes as well as family walks in the forest. The artistic direction of the first and the olfactory talent of the second made the magic of these beautiful fragrances.
“Haltane is a fragrance for a gentleman of today, inspired by the gentilhommes of the Chateau de Marly in the 18th century.”
Julien Sprecher, Founder and Artistic Director of Parfums de Marly.
Haltane is an original scent of both radiance and shadow. Its composition features a blend of rare and noble ingredients which revisit the tradition of 18th century French perfume making.
Its dazzling freshness and herbal top notes quickly yield a warm and smooth sense of leather with a symphony of precious woods. Soft and sweet, escorted by saffron, its praline accord is an ultra-contemporary spin on the mythical oudwood.
Agarwood emerges in this veil of contrasts and imprints the skin with luminous refinement for endur-ing comfort. A privilege that is all about sensation.
Enriched with the finest grade argan oil and the moisturising benefits of shea butter, Thameen’s body lotion is an elegant combination of nourishing ingredients wrapped in a delicate embrace of pure, luxury fragrance. Soft skin, divinely scented, and an all-over healthy glow.
THE STORY: Considered by many to be the most famous diamond in the world, The Hope is also one of the world’s largest diamonds. Described as the size of a pigeon’s egg, it is a distinctive grey blue in hue, and also emanates a rare red phosphorescent glow. The gem has been worn by sultans, queens, aristocracy and socialites; most notably Queen Marie Antoinette who wore it as a hairpin, and its last private owner, the flamboyant heiress Evalyn Walsh Maclean. It was the inspiration for the ‘Heart of The Ocean’ in the film Titanic and provides the inspiration for the iridescent fragrance.
THE FRAGRANCE: Opening with the warm radiance of cinnamon bark, myrrh and cloves conjure the diamond’s legendary fiery red glow. A woody shimmer of cedar and oud wood is at the heart, layered with the multi-faceted, honeyed brilliance of the immortelle flower. A base of black amber, labdanum resin (from the Mediterranean rock rose), musk and vetiver, exude pure glamour and sophistication. Decadent.
THE STORY: Regent Leather is a luxury fragrance from Thameen in association with The Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club. Traditionally, Thameen selects a rare gemstone as the inspiration for each of its fragrances and it is only fitting that, for this project, they have chosen what is considered to be the finest diamond in the world – The Regent Diamond.
Over 300 years old, the Regent Diamond is 141 carats, cushion-cut and its colour is ‘of the first water’ that is, perfectly white and virtually flawless. The fragrance exudes luxury and privilege, opening with the daring juxtaposition of smooth vanilla and sharp lemon. At the heart, the perfumer has cleverly conjured a remarkable leather scent reminiscent of the interior of the Rolls Royce, a cocoon of craftsmanship that envelopes the wearer. The tone speaks of power and strong will, supported by spices and resins including a fine saffron and deep resinous labdanum. The base is glossy, a perfumed patina of elegant and timeless gurjum, cedar and patchouli.
THE FRAGRANCE: Regent Leather is hypnotic and has, in the manner of Rolls Royce, been ‘engineered’ – enabling the finest ingredients to revolve throughout the dry-down, thus the journey is both surprising and familiar by degree.

This is dark, carnal and animalic: a patchouli with a musky sexuality, power, opulence. It captures the raw passion of Pluto, the darkness of the underworld; as well as the opulence of the hidden treasures of his kingdom, such as precious gems, minerals and glittering metals held deep within the earth’s core.
INSPIRATION
Pluto’s plight was to rule the UNDERWORLD: the final destination for the dead but also DEEP EARTH the place of riches and opulence abundant with precious jewels, oil, minerals and resources and the earth necessary for a bountiful harvest. Brother to the King of the Gods Jupiter, PLUTO was a powerful and magnetic personality.
This perfume was created with Persephone’s Patchouli as a pair. Two perfumers explores the central note of Patchouli through two lenses of the same story: that of Pluto and his Queen Persephone.
PERFUMER’S NOTES
“The idea was to build a black patchouli, with a furry texture as black as the panther.
It starts with pink and black pepper blended with citruses (bergamot and mandarin) to create a fresh dark top note enhancing the camphor notes of patchouli. I played with a suede leather accord of mate absolute, birch and a smoky twist with cade and rich smoked precious woods to create a synergy between resins and woods and strengthen the character of musk.
I softened that with a blend of cistus, labdanum extracts and other amber materials to give the furry and smooth signature. Bits of carnation (spicy rose character) and other floral elements are enriching the fragrance to give it depth and structure.” Kévin Mathys
Henri Frapin likes to relax on these springtime Sundays in the garden opposite the property, built in 1702 and located above the production site. He contemplates this region made up of woodland, rivers and pastures where he was born and which is in his blood. He considers the manna provided by this nectar that the family has produced since 1889. His favourite time is when his son joins him at around 11am when the sun’s rays warm up this headland of forest above Segonzac.
