THE STORY: The 8th fragrance in Thameen’s unique ‘Treasure’ Collection, ‘Green Peal’ is inspired by the ‘Yemengzhu’, the legendary luminous Chinese ‘pearls’ of green fluorite. This naturally phosphorescent mineral which literally glows in the dark is found only in China and is the most valuable in the world, highly prized by the Chinese as just touching it is said to bring health, great prosperity and good luck! As hard and rarer than the finest grade diamonds, the largest green pearl is 1.6 meters in diameter and valued at 3.1 billion dollars!
THE FRAGRANCE: ‘Green Pearl’ opens with a biting green note of apple set aglow by bright citrus accords of mandarin, neroli and bergamot. At the heart, green leaves, soft and rain-soaked part to reveal green tea and the bitter-vert of Artemisia, further animated by a dusting of pepper. At the base, lustrous tonka sits atop oak moss and the ambery gleam of musk. ‘Green Pearl’ is vivid olfactory gem infused with verdant incandescence. THE STORY: A ‘Rivière’ is a classic necklace comprised of gemstones that are of identical size or seamlessly graduated. One of the most famous Rivière belonged to Queen Mary and consisted of 34 old cut diamonds. She subsequently gifted the necklace to her granddaughter, Princess Margaret, and it was sold at Christies for almost £1 million in 2006. THE STORY: Considered by many to be the most famous diamond in the world, The Hope is also one of the world’s largest diamonds. Described as the size of a pigeon’s egg, it is a distinctive grey blue in hue, and also emanates a rare red phosphorescent glow. The gem has been worn by sultans, queens, aristocracy and socialites; most notably Queen Marie Antoinette who wore it as a hairpin, and its last private owner, the flamboyant heiress Evalyn Walsh Maclean. It was the inspiration for the ‘Heart of The Ocean’ in the film Titanic and provides the inspiration for the iridescent fragrance.
THE FRAGRANCE: Opening with the warm radiance of cinnamon bark, myrrh and cloves conjure the diamond’s legendary fiery red glow. A woody shimmer of cedar and oud wood is at the heart, layered with the multi-faceted, honeyed brilliance of the immortelle flower. THE STORY: Regent Leather is a luxury fragrance from Thameen in association with The Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club. Traditionally, Thameen selects a rare gemstone as the inspiration for each of its fragrances and it is only fitting that, for this project, they have chosen what is considered to be the finest diamond in the world – The Regent Diamond.
Over 300 years old, the Regent Diamond is 141 carats, cushion-cut and its colour is ‘of the first water’ that is, perfectly white and virtually flawless. The fragrance exudes luxury and privilege, opening with the daring juxtaposition of smooth vanilla and sharp lemon. At the heart, the perfumer has cleverly conjured a remarkable leather scent reminiscent of the interior of the Rolls Royce, a cocoon of craftsmanship that envelopes the wearer. The tone speaks of power and strong will, supported by spices and resins including a fine saffron and deep resinous labdanum. The base is glossy, a perfumed patina of elegant and timeless gurjum, cedar and patchouli.

THE STORY: The Cora Sun-Drop Diamond is the largest, yellow, pear-shaped diamond in the world, weighing in at 110.3 carats. Coloured by tiny amounts of nitrogen trapped in the carbon molecules The Cora was formed between 1 and 3 billion years ago and was discovered in South Africa in 2010. It was sold in 2011 at an auction in Geneva for almost £7 million to an anonymous buyer.
