Introducing a new olfactive family, Kilian Hennessy pays tribute to his heritage, as heir to the renowned French cognac-making family, and to his choice olfactory intoxicants for driving the night towards dawn. A first-time collaboration with French perfumer Benoit Lapouza, the perfume Angel’s Share is Kilian Hennessy’s most personal fragrance creation yet, inspired by his eighth-generation inheritance of Hennessy savoir-faire in cognac making. The perfume goes deep into the cellars of founder’s mind and memory, and into its most mysterious dimension: “la part des anges” or “angels’ share”— an evaporation of liquor in oak barrels that lifts, while aging, like a silent offering to the gods.
The Perfume: Much like a Master Perfumer who crafts accords and essences in a perfume, a Master Blender combines the eaux-de-vie in perfect proportions for an exceptional cognac. With his brand new olfactory family, Kilian Hennessy wishes to pay tribute to his heritage as heir to the famous French family of cognac producers and to its olfactory intoxicating substances that prolong the night until dawn . For his first collaboration with perfumer Franck Voelkl, Kilian Hennessy wanted to recreate the taste of a “gin on the rocks” with a hint of lime, his wife’s favorite drink.
The perfume :Roses, cucumber, and a few notes of distilled gin are in the spotlight… The Roses on Ice fragrance opens with the aquatic freshness of cucumber and the aromatic effervescence of juniper berries, creating an icy sensation, which s ’rounded in a voluptuous accord of Rose Centifolia. With its base notes of sandalwood and musk, the fragrance expresses the lively yet deeply infused character of gin.

Summanus was the Roman god of Nocturnal Thunder, the Monarch of Night. This scent celebrates Jupiter’s oft forgotten dark twin with its electric lightening bolt of cardamon and black pepper and its moody base.

This spicy oud has an intense and slightly earthy woody heart, it is illuminated with incense and amber and the cistus, vanilla tonka and grey amber give it a warm, resinous and balsamic base.

INSPIRATION
Jupiter, the King of the Gods was revered and feared in equal measures. Highly temperamental, he ruled the heavens armed with the mighty thunderbolt, said to be the most powerful weapon among the gods. He rescued his siblings from death, led the victorious battle of Titans and overthrew his father for the throne.
Like Jupiter, well known for amorous pursuits, this scent is powerful, vigorous and seductive.
Late summer Mediterranean lemon groves and sweet geraniums lightly laced with star anise and cloves, transform into stormy skies with a fresh earthy base of patchouli, ambergris and cedar and a slightly leathery undertone.
