THE STORY: The 8th fragrance in Thameen’s unique ‘Treasure’ Collection, ‘Green Peal’ is inspired by the ‘Yemengzhu’, the legendary luminous Chinese ‘pearls’ of green fluorite. This naturally phosphorescent mineral which literally glows in the dark is found only in China and is the most valuable in the world, highly prized by the Chinese as just touching it is said to bring health, great prosperity and good luck! THE FRAGRANCE: ‘Green Pearl’ opens with a biting green note of apple set aglow by bright citrus accords of mandarin, neroli and bergamot. At the heart, green leaves, soft and rain-soaked part to reveal green tea and the bitter-vert of Artemisia, further animated by a dusting of pepper. THE STORY: Considered by many to be the most famous diamond in the world, The Hope is also one of the world’s largest diamonds. Described as the size of a pigeon’s egg, it is a distinctive grey blue in hue, and also emanates a rare red phosphorescent glow. The gem has been worn by sultans, queens, aristocracy and socialites; most notably Queen Marie Antoinette who wore it as a hairpin, and its last private owner, the flamboyant heiress Evalyn Walsh Maclean. THE FRAGRANCE: Opening with the warm radiance of cinnamon bark, myrrh and cloves conjure the diamond’s legendary fiery red glow. A woody shimmer of cedar and oud wood is at the heart, layered with the multi-faceted, honeyed brilliance of the immortelle flower. A base of black amber, labdanum resin (from the Mediterranean rock rose), musk and vetiver, exude pure glamour and sophistication. Decadent.

Its signature note, the Taif Rose is especially prized in perfumery for its rarity. The rose itself has 30 petals and only grows around
the city of Taif. It takes around 40,000 flowers to produce one 10g bottle of this rose oil, since only the petals are used.
THE STORY: Regent Leather is a luxury fragrance from Thameen in association with The Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club. Traditionally, Thameen selects a rare gemstone as the inspiration for each of its fragrances and it is only fitting that, for this project, they have chosen what is considered to be the finest diamond in the world – The Regent Diamond.
Over 300 years old, the Regent Diamond is 141 carats, cushion-cut and its colour is ‘of the first water’ that is, perfectly white and virtually flawless. It was sold in 2011 at an auction in Geneva for almost £7 million to an anonymous buyer.

THE STORY: Solah Shringar is a 16 stage ritual to prepare royal women for public appearance. Indian royalty were considered somewhere between man and God and this ritual adornment with perfumes and jewels created something of a super-human presence.
