Amelie Bourgeois rose to the challenge of finding the notes for such a strong-willed perfume. She built a floral, spicy jus, gentle yet feisty, reflecting the paradox of Laskarina. You could say it embodies the iron fist in a velvet glove. Starting off on fresh, sweet notes, it ends on unyielding accords of pepper and amber.

To showcase this exceptional marriage, AFFINESSENCE has combined two types of VANILLA (Tahitian Vanilla Absolute, intensely fragranced with leather overtones and the sweet scent of Madagascan Vanilla Absolute) and blended them with an exquisite alter ego: Siamese BENZOIN, a fragrant Resin originating in Laos, highly valued for its balsamic and almond notes.
As Ambroxan, enfolded in Tonka Bean and Moroccan and Chinese Cedar, exudes its carnal notes, the Benzoin transcends the Vanilla with its intoxicating scent as if to better diffuse its spellbinding trail. Perfumer : Corine CACHEN.

Frédéric Malle celebrates this principle with a promise of his own, whose beating heart is made of two precious varieties of rose: rose essence from Bulgaria and rose absolute from Turkey are lifted by apple, pink pepper and clove, and bound to a sensuous base of patchouli, cypriol and labdanum; an accord as unbreakable, and invisible, as a vow.
